CCB Board Of Directors Elections
At the 2018 Convention in March, CCB will be electing president, 1st vice-president, treasurer and four members to its board of directors.
Prospective candidates are invited to provide information on their qualifications for, and ideas about serving on, the CCB board. We will again have a candidates page on our website. For those who cannot access information through our website or are not comfortable doing so, statements will be placed in the special announcements box of the phone system. It is our goal to have this webpage up by March 1.
Your answer to each question should be no more than 300 words, with the count determined by the word-count feature in MS Word; there will be no editing, spell checks or grammar checks.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday February 20, 2018. Submit them to the office in electronic format as a .txt .rtf or MS Word file. Email them to ccotb@ccbnet.org. Submit each answer in a separate email with the following subject line: your name question number: i.e. Judy Wilkinson question 1
Though currently there is no requirement that a candidate submit answers, we strongly urge you to do so.
- What are your qualifications for this office, and what contributions have you made to CCB in the last year?
- What major challenges face CCB and how would you respond to them?
- Briefly discuss a major internal debate likely to face CCB during your term.

I would encourage as many of you as possible to find out who your state Senator and Assemblymember is. One way to do this is probably to call your local library. Alternatively, both the Senate and Assembly websites have a way to do this. The senate website, senate.ca.gov has a find my senator link. The Assembly website assembly.ca.gov has a find my representative link. It will help a great deal in our planning if you know who your representatives are.
