Welcome to the CCB Happenings for December 13.
Cathy Skivers:
December 12:
The California Council of the Blind lost a true pioneer today at the passing of Cathy Skivers, at the age of 94. Everyone who knew Cathy was well aware how devoted she was to two things, her four sons and their families and her extended family of Americans who were blind or low vision. Nobody fought harder for the cause than did Cathy and when I talked to her last week, her mind was sharp as ever and intent upon giving advice on how to move forward. It is my understanding that a memorial will be planned for some future date.
