CCB Auction Update:

Our CCB auction committee is proceeding with plans to hold our 2020 ccb auction on September 20. We have compiled a wish list of suggested items, which you or your chapter or organization might wish to donate. The list will be sent to the presidents list and also available on our website. It will be updated regularly as our wishes come true.

In order to proceed with our auction, we need a firm commitment of your donation item(s) by June 15, though the item doesn’t need to be in our hands until mid August. These items are only intended as suggestions; prices are included when available. Remember all donations must be new and worth at least $50. Please contact me with all information related to donations, as well as any questions.

Thank you in advance for your continuing support of CCB.
Regards,
Andrea E. DeKlotz, Auction Co-Chair

Stimulus Information For SSI Recipients, From CCB Treasurer Lisa Thomas:

If you are an SSI recipient without a dependent child under 17 years of age, it has now been decided that the Treasury will not require you to file any kind of form in order to receive a stimulus payment. When we have more specific information as to when these funds will begin to arrive, we will let you know.

If, however, you are an SSI recipient with a dependent child under 17 years of age, and thus you are eligible for an additional sum of $500 per child, you will need to file a simple form. Filing this form electronically, instead of mailing it in hardcopy, will save you several months in terms of when you receive your payment. If you need help with this process, I would urge you to contact me, Lisa Thomas, either by telephone at 559-250-6760 or by e-mail at lisa.thomas@ccbnet.org

Attention Students:

Are you a full-time post-secondary student, legally blind, and a resident of California? No matter where you attend post-secondary education (college, university, trade school) you may apply online for a 2020-2021 academic year CCB scholarship.

The link to the form is,

Final filing date is Friday, May 15, 2020. Official transcripts are due no later than July 15, 2020.
