The California Alliance on Aging and Vision Loss

is one of the newest affiliates of the California Council of the Blind.
Our mission is to address challenges of aging and vision loss.
we especially want to invite anyone going through the challenge of sight loss for the first time or currently going through further vision loss. Please let your friends know about this opportunity.
Each week we have a support call in which a number of us get together to share our daily experiences.
We meet every Friday at 10 am PDT and the program lasts an hour. All that is discussed is strictly confidential.

From Regina Brink:

This is a short film (just under 6 minutes long) that a team of blind actors, directors, producers, and editors entered into the official Easter Seals Disability Film Challenge. We were one of 2 teams sponsored by Marilee Talkington’s Access Acting Academy.
“Scene of Possibilities”: Jordan is thrown into a director’s role she never dreamed possible—a cast of all blind and low vision actors. She quickly sees the opportunities when these actors surpass all expectations. This film brings awareness of how accessibility has leveled the playing field for people who are blind or have low vision.
