Welcome to the CCB Happenings for October 29.
From the CCB Employment Mini-Conference Committee:
We’ve just concluded our first Employment mini-Conference. If you missed any portion of these informative presentations, you can access them by going to our Facebook Page at:
(20+) California Council of the Blind | Facebook
These recordings will also be available directly from the CCB website soon.
From Sarah Harris, CCB First Vice-President:
The Convention Planning Committee needs your input! On Tuesday, November 9 at 7:30 pm the CPC will be holding a Membership Brainstorm session to steer the programming for our 2022 Virtual Convention. You may remember that we did this last year and most of the programming for the 2021 Convention came directly from your ideas. Zoom info will be sent out to the lists. Not on one of the CCB lists? No problem! Contact Sarah Harris at crazyblindlady@gmail.com
From the CCB history committee:
We are looking for any recordings anyone might have of past conventions and anything else CCB related. If you have anything you think might be of interest and are willing to share with us please reach out to either Gabe Griffith or Larry Gassman using the below information so we can make arrangements to get them from you.
gabe: 925-768-8195 or gabrielgriffith@gmail.com
Larry: 562-706-7710 or larrygassman1@gmail.com

From James Collins, Community Educator:
It’s Halloween weekend. Let’s dim our screen brightness while we enjoy our favorite Hitchcock film. Higher brightness uses more electricity, so turning down brightness on devices will reduce energy usage. Be kind and be mindful of “The Birds”.
And for more energy saving tips, please visit: Time of Use Tips

With questions please contact me at James.Collins@ccbnet.org or (916) 441-2100.
