CCB Happenings August 19 2022

Welcome to the CCB Happenings for August 19

On Saturday, August 20

at 4:00 eastern and 1:00 Pacific, I will be facilitating an ACB community event. Meet Gary Glading, author of Stars, Staterooms, and Stowaways. Hear about celebrities he interviewed on cruise ships, interesting passengers he met, and animals he rescued and brought on the ships before 911. Gary has an animal sanctuary in Italy. He recently put his book in an audio format. There will be time for questions after this fascinating presentation. Please see the ACB Community Weekend schedule for the Zoom information.

The Country of the Blind, Encore, on Zoom

Sunday, August 28, 4:00PM Pacific, 7:00PM Eastern
The Country of the Blind radio drama is based on a short story by H. G. Wells. It has been adapted for radio many times, but the ACB Capital Chapter of CCB decided to modernize the script and bring a blind perspective to it with blind and low vision actors from the Chapter, in collaboration with Eplus Studios, staffed by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is both a commentary on blind VS sighted perspectives as well as humanity in general. This drama will make you laugh, cry, and think outside the box.
To get the Zoom information, email convention.ccb@gmail.com
or call (916)229-8825.
