CCB Happenings April 21, 2023

Welcome to the CCB Happenings for April 21, 2023.

Note that the CCB Office has moved!

The new address is 2143 Hurley Way, Suite 102 Sacramento, 95825

From the IDC membership Committee:

From the IDC membership Committee: Attention CCB Members!
According to CA State attorney general Rob Banta, hate crimes are on the rise throughout the state against people of diverse backgrounds, gender identities, and people with disabilities, including those with vision loss.
Coming to a zoom link near you: A Listening Session! The topic will be hate crimes on the Rise. A listening session is not a mental health support group, nor is it a debate, but instead it is a chance to talk about your lived experiences and feelings around this topic.
It will take place on Saturday, May 6 at 10AM. For more information, or to register, please email membership@idcofccb.org or call (408)409-6634. You will then receive the zoom link as well as the guidelines for the listening session. IDC welcomes and embraces you with love and understanding. We hope you will join us on that day.

From CCB Community Educator James Collins:

"Wildfire Safety Preparedness Rollout”
To all CCB Southern California Chapters:
Southern California Edison is conducting Self-Identification Surveys in High Fire Risk Areas (HFRAs) to better support consumers with Access and Functional Needs (AFN). The surveys will be delivered via USPS and email on a rolling basis throughout the year. SCE is seeking input from CCB members in preparation to allocate wildfire safety resources should an event occur. If you would like to participate on an advisory panel, please contact CCB’s main office or James Collins, CCB Community Educator, at James.Collins@CCBnet.org
