From California Alliance on Aging and Vision Loss
AAVL has been going strong for 25 years, begun in part with the involvement of California’s own Teddie-Joy Remhild. In CA we saw the good that AAVL was doing and strongly believed that bringing advocacy, education and peer support to the statewide level would be beneficial. CAAVL was chartered in both CCB and AAVL in 2020. CAAVL was the first to affiliate with AAVL and encourages statewide and regional affiliation in AAVL.
CAAVL could not thrive without the participation of our members. It is once again time to join/renew membership in CAAVL for 2025. Membership dues can be paid by contacting Denise Weddle, CAAVL treasurer, at deaniew21@verizon.net or by calling 310-306-8149.

Holiday Party in Southern California:
The Greater LA and Glendale/Burbank chapters invite you to join us on Saturday, December 7, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. We’re gathering at the Magnolia Grill, 10530 Magnolia Blvd in North Hollywood. The cross street is Cahuenga. We’ll have the entire restaurant to ourselves, so looking forward to sharing holiday cheer with many from our southern California CCB family. Meal choices are New York pepper steak, herb chicken, grilled Atlantic salmon or a vegetarian dish. All come with soup or salad and potatoes, vegetables and beverage. Alcoholic drinks are extra.
