Please join me in wishing Sarah Harris, President of the CCB Fresno Chapter, good luck on her Project Athena San Diego Cove to Harbor 26.2-mile adventure hike on September 30, 2017. Sarah has been training for this event for several months and is the first blind Athena candidate ever selected. She is making this trek to prove to the world that it can be done and that she can do it!! Sarah will be accompanied by her 13-year-old daughter who will serve as her sighted guide and adventure companion.
Sarah is a true inspiration and a CANES Across California Hero! Well wishes and encouragement can be sent to Sarah at crazyblindlady@gmail.com. Thank you for standing with Sarah as she pursues her dreams and shatters perceptions.
