Greetings to All!
My work with a cohesive CCB Membership Committee feels like a blessing. Although I resigned as Membership Committee Chair, I plan to continue serving as a committee member. Allow me to share a few highlights of my experience.
Under my leadership, the Membership Committee strove to promote membership growth as well as spread positivity within the exceptional CCB Organization.
The Membership Committee held informal First-Timers seminars at CCB conventions. Those who were able to attend learned about the origin, history, and organizational structure of CCB. We urged them to engage with a local chapter in their community. The Committee also encouraged internal mentorship as this remains a critical link in relationship development. The Committee responded by offering mentorship training to chapters and affiliates.
The Committee launched a letter campaign to connect and engage CCB At Large Members.
My last official duty as Membership Committee Chair involved moderating the Membership Retention and Recruitment Focus call on 1/19/2020 (presented by Cindy Vanwinkle, ACB Membership Coordinator).
Cindy's presentation was so powerful! I felt inspired and considered the idea of starting a CCB chapter/affiliate myself. She provided us with a framework, resources, education, encouragement, and enlightenment. Offering a myriad of strategies that CCB can use to increase membership, Cindy showed us how to grow, one chapter at a time, one member at a time. The motivational call enlivened me. If we implemented all of her suggestions, we could establish a robust California Affiliate membership. She's got the tactics right in her notes and urges CCB members to contact her.
Most of all, I have enjoyed collaborating with chapters and affiliates to increase membership numbers. Each of you holds a special place in my heart. Moreover, cooperating with the CCB Membership Committee to select annual COTY Award winners and coordinate an appealing membership engagement platform proved that positive energy and optimism abounds in CCB.
As Membership Chair, I thank each committee member for their hard work, commitment, teamwork, and recognize their part in the Committee's accomplishments. They played a vital role in sustaining CCB, and their steadfast dedication to membership growth and retention is important to CCB's success.
Special thanks to Sugar Lopez for standing alongside me as CCB Membership Committee Co-Chair. Her work ethic contributed greatly to safeguarding Committee affairs and assuring a smooth, accessible, and supportive course for chapters and affiliates.
Now, I take this opportunity to wholeheartedly welcome Guillermo Robles, the new CCB Membership Committee Chair. Just as Ardis Bazyn mentored me, I intend to assist Guillermo through his transition process.
Finally, it is my fervent hope that every CCB Member clasp hands with our perspective and new members to welcome them into our great organization!
