I will be interviewing BART Manager of Customer Access Bob Franklin and San Francisco LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired Community Outreach Specialist Sheri Albers on March 24th at 8PM Eastern (ACB Media 1) about BART’s increased accessibility efforts for its blind riders.

THE 2023 STUDENT EDUCATION ACCESS GRANT
Who Is Eligible?
A legally blind student ages 8-18 who lives in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, Napa, San Mateo, Sonoma, Solano, and Santa Clara Counties.
The San Francisco Chapter of CCB will give a technology product selected by the applicant from the list below, with a maximum value of $1,000. The grant recipient will be the applicant who meets the criteria above and best demonstrates how the product will enhance their educational opportunities.
The products offered are: iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, Orbit Reader 20 Braille Display, Victor Reader Trek, Zoomtext Screen Magnifier, Zoomtext Magnifier with Reader, the JAWS Screen Reader, and Fusion.
Completed Application forms must be submitted no later than April 1, 2023 to:
