General

The building is a rectangular structure consisting of 8 floors. The long sides are in a north-south orientation and the short sides in an east-west orientation. Attached to the building is the conference center located on the north side of the main rectangular structure. The main entrance is located on the south side of the building. Outdoor free parking is on the south and west sides of the hotel.

Primary Front Entrance

The primary front entrance is on the south side of the hotel where you would enter from the portico/driveway. This area has a 15-minute parking/loading zone for public/private transportation and shuttle service. When approaching the main entrance from the portico there is an outdoor rug/mat located in front of an automatic door that opens when you approach. This enclosed area has benches on the right and left walls. You must then proceed through another set of automatic doors before you are inside the hotel.

First floor description to the right:

The first floor has the registration desk, Atrium Lounge, Java Stop, International Café, gift shop, fitness center, pool area, elevators, office space, hospitality suites and several meeting rooms.

When you enter the main floor, you will hear a waterfall ahead and to the right (East side of the building). The Atrium Lounge is directly in front and is in a sunken area that has steps going down. The bar area is a tiled area down the steps and to the left (west) of you. When you walk in and turn directly to the right you will pass an ATM machine on the right. The business center is past the ATM machine in the corner of the building. If you go to the end and turn left, the registration desk will be on your right. You will hear the waterfall on the left side of the walkway. As you continue past the guest service/registration desk there are restrooms on the right side and a planter on the left. All of the meeting rooms will be on the right in this part of the hotel. When you past the waterfall, you will find the International Café on the left. If you continue past the International Café the walkway will narrow and there are meeting rooms on the left. This entire area is tiled. When you find carpet, you are now entering the meeting area.

First floor description to the left:

When you enter the main entrance of the hotel and turn to the left you will find the Java Stop on your immediate left. Past the Java Stop is a gift shop then the fitness center door and a set of restrooms all on your left. If you go straight ahead you will find the pool entrance. If you turn right before the end of the hall you will find a carpeted hallway that will lead to the hospitality room on the left and three banks of elevators on the right. The elevators do not have a voice announcing the floors but there are Braille markings. If you continue past these elevators and rooms, you will come to a hallway on the left that takes you to a door leading outside to the dog relief area. The end of this walkway ends in a conference room on the left called the Sequoia Room and the International Café entrance straight ahead but to the right. There are a set of restrooms in this area as well. There is a phone on the wall across from the elevators.

Conference Center and Salon Rooms:

The Conference Center is located on the north side of the hotel building. To access it, travel on the east side of the hotel heading away from the main entrance. You will pass the Atrium Lounge and the International Café, all located on the left. After passing the International Café, you will veer slightly to the left down a hallway, which leads to the Conference Center. There is a rubber mat in front of the double doors of the Conference Center. These doors are usually kept open. The Conference Center is all carpeted flooring. If you turn left in this hallway you will locate Salon D2 and Salon D3. If you turn right, you will locate Salon D1. To access the other Salons, turn right after entering the Conference Center and turn left at the end of this hallway. The Men's and Women's restrooms are on the right wall. You are now in the foyer of the Conference Center. To the left are Salon D, Salon C and Salon B. To the right are 6 glass doors leading outside. This is the M Street entrance. Continuing past the Foyer to the end of the hallway there is another set of restrooms located to your right. Turning right will lead you to another glass door to the outside of the Conference Center. Turning left you will locate Salon E, Salon F and Salon G on the right. On the left are Salon A1 and Salon A2.

To exit the Conference Center to the main hotel area, reverse the route past the Foyer, turn right then left into the hallway.

Dog Relief Area:

The dog relief area is on the left (west or elevator) side of the building near the Sequoia meeting room and International Café entrance. There is a short hallway leading to glass doors to the outside. There is a small garden, grass area and walkway. It will be blocked off at the end of the walkway.

Inquire about a "dog relaxing area" in the conference center at the front desk.

Pool/Jacuzzi Area:

In the southwest corner of the hotel, just past the fitness center, there is a door leading to the pool area. The pool is enclosed by walls on three sides and about 3/4 of the pool is covered. As you go through the doorway, the pool's shallow end is forward and to the right. The Jacuzzi is on the left. Past the Jacuzzi there is a wall with a shelf containing towels. If you turn left when you walk in there are showers and restrooms. If you turn right and follow all the way past the deep end of the pool there is a lounge area with outdoor tables, chairs and umbrellas. The pool area is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and has an ADA lift.

Designated Smoking Area:

This area is located outside of the main hotel entrance. To find this area, exit the hotel into the portico/driveway. If you Cross the driveway, there is a small landscaped island with 2 benches and a receptacle for cigarette butts. Beyond the island is the guest parking area. Smoking is permitted anywhere outside of the hotel as long as you are 15 feet from the building.

Guest Room Floors:

Guest rooms are located on floors 2 through 8. There are two bottled waters with a tag on them in each room near the television. They cost $2.50 and will be billed to the room if used.

Ice Machines are located in the southwest corner of each floor.
Snack/Beverage Machines are located next to the Ice Machines. Drink Machines are on the even floors and Snack Machines are on the odd floors.
As you walk south down the hallway, at the end turn right into a small nook area and you will find the machines on your right. There is a trash receptacle next to the Beverage or Snack Machine. Beyond the Ice Machine is an exit door leading to the stairs.

If you would like to read a copy of the hotel’s emergency evacuation procedures, braille and large print copies are available at the front desk.
